My Dip Ed Convocation

The sweetest day of me..11th session...8.00 am...6 October 2011...Thursday..@ Universiti Utara Malaysia, Sintok Kedah.

The news is killing me..

Che Hanisah bt Said..dis is my beloved mum..gambar ni diambil 4 tahun lepas..masa my undergrade convocation kat uia..next month,im going to UUM for my dip ed convocation..but dis time.my mum is not coming with me..how pity i am..:(
my mum was diagnosed of having ovarian cancer,stage 3, a few months ago.and now... she s doing her chemoteraphy which will end by this year..

The 9 cycles treatment is so terrible..the effects is totally testing me..i have to put aside my rest and let go everything just to stay by my mum side.. for 3 days every 3 weeks..but i accept this as my destiny..as i really believe that it is to improve my iman faith towards Allah The All-Mighty..

For the time being,her condition is getting better..
i used to peep from her personal file at the hospital when the doctor's visit..it stated there that the cancer cell is decreasing..alhamdulillah..syukur pada Allah s.w.t but we have to be careful..it will come, be active and reattack

i do believe that every disease has its cure..besides the prescription given by the doctor, my mum takes a few supplements..4life transfer factor(cow colostrum and egg york extract),LD Venus(Alken),apricot which contains b17-dat is good to stop the cancer cell.honey is also good to replace sugar and the latest is 'pokok keladi tikus'..

Insyallah...she is going to recover soon.....:D

Trekking to Gunung Stong

WELCOME TO GUNUNG STONG STATE PARK FOREST
This trip was the one and only trip that was organized by our school..
All 23 students had to carry their own heavy bag contained all their belongings and necessities to the campsite..that was at Kem Bahar in which according to our guide.. it is 450 meter from sea level..
We started our journey on 11 March...on a rainy friday morning..we were hiking to the camp..and passed by a 'jambatan gantung' and a cascading waterfall at the foothill...


The journey was quite challenging..especially to me..since i havent done heavy activities or any sport for quite sometime...i was breathless and had to stop to regain my energy and drink my 100 plus...:D..the route was also slippery as the rain did not stop from the beginning of our journey to the end..we were all freezing and wet...plus,the air was cold even the clock showed 12 noon..


This was our first stop after hiking for almost one hour..all the students were the first who arrived at the small 'wakaf'..and we were all waiting for ustazah lenny to arrive as she was at the end of the group..
While waiting,the students took a lot of pictures of the highest waterfall in the Souteast Asia..that could be seen from our stop..there were also other groups who passed by us..some were hiking up and some of them were going down...after half an hour,ustazah lenny arrived with her younger sister,Lina who used to be my classmate when i was in MMP..

Inter-school English Oration Competition

This is an annual competition participated by all schools in Zone 2.my students,Fatihah...who took part in this competition last year..did well in her presentation.but may be it was not her luck yet..,that experience was definitely invaluable for her.it may be a starter point to move further in learning this 'alien' or international language..
she loves English so much..she dreams to further her study in TESL after her SPM result in march this year..hopefully,she got what she dreamed of..insyallah..if God willing to.
This year,Zakirah had been chosen as our school representative..
The English Oration Competition held on 26th february,on saturday morning at 9.00 until 12.30 in the afternoon.8 schools in Zone 2 had been joining.
My students gained a lot from this beneficial program. it was not only significant for them but inevitably important for me as it improved my soft skill in speaking in front of people and facing the hall with full of audience..for the first time,i had to be a director in one of the most big English programs at school and MCing the ceremony.i was quite nervous at the beginning but my nervousness was getting lesser after a few moment..thank God i could control it well..:D
At the end of the ceremony, the result was announced by teacher Aishah;the chief judge of this program.the winner for female and male category was as usual from Maahad Muhammadi Perempuan and Maahad Tahfiz Nurul Iman respectively.
and Zakirah, our representative..won as the first runner-up..hurrayy!!!i was over the moon and extremely excited.congrats to her undeniable effort to get the second place.
it was ended well and thanked to everyone who had worked hard for this competition...:-)

A Journey to 'Evacuate the Unskilled Swimmer'

2nd visit to Alor Star in a month..
kali ni,kami pegi tanpa mak dan we..sbb tu kami blh singgah byk tmpt..kami sempat g pekan rabu,singgah solat kat masjid yg dlm gamba tu..lupe lak nk tgk name gapo..shopping sket2 & posing2..

kami bertolak dr umh dalam kul 9pg, terus ke jitra dan mlm br sampai umah abg det & kak ct kat sg petani..it was such a tiring journey..mn tak nye..for 12hours i have been driving..smpai je umh abg det,kak ct ajak kami g pasar mlm..tp sorry la kak ct,kami xlarat ssgt..

esok nye,'the unskilled swimmer' tu insist nk 'fly' walaupn die xla baper terer sgt,dekat2 nk sampai tu baru bg peluang..'angin kuat' bimbang jgk new licensed 'pilot' ni xblh nk control the 'plane'..kalo crash..abis smue life dlm 'plane' tuh..

though we were extremely tired, we really excited n enjoyed the fascinating scenery along the journey..

My Holiday Visit

Finally, i got a chance to have a special visit to this exhibition after almost 2 months it was held.."Pameran Alat Penderaan Era Silam dari Eropah"...
ia sgt best dan menakutkan..kind of haunted place to visit but surely..it was an educational trip for 4 of my students..

These were some of the instruments that have been displayed..head crusher,scavenger's daughter, the barrel pillory,an interrogation chair, the saw, the chastity belt,the garrotte,the heretic fork etc..

Among all the instruments,yg plg aku ingt skali adalah the chastity belt.isteri yg suaminya berada jauh atau merantau kn pakai benda alah ni..lebih kurang cawat besi gitu..utk mengelakkan isteri curang dgn lelaki lain..sgt tak patut sbb isteri je yg kn pakai..pe kata kalo suami pn pakai sama..barula adil.:D

on dat day, we were the only group who were visiting..dh la lighting die suram...plus die pasang lagu yg sgt seram..tegak bulu roma kami..huhuuuu!!!!
while we were in the cave (pic yg kat atas ni),suddenly there was a freak sound..kami pn....huwaaaaaa!!!cabut lari...

ICT telah merubah cara manusia bekerja. Ia telah meningkatkan prestasi pekerja terutama sekali pensyarah untuk kerja-kerja pengurusan dan kerja-kerja pengajaran dan pembelajaran.Oleh itu, kemahiran mengguna serta mengintegrasikan ICT dalam bidang kerja iaitu pendidikan di peringkat universiti,dapat membantu meringankan tugas-tugas mereka.Keperluan terhadap alat teknologi ini semakin berkembang pesat dalam dunia pendidikan sekarang.
Maklumat-maklumat akan dihantar dengan pantas dan cepat di samping memudahkan segala urusan di setiap peringkat.Proses-proses pengajaran dapat dipertingkatkan mutunya dan dipelbagaikan penyampaian dan penerimaannya melalui beberapa teknik.Penggunaan alat bantu mengajar ini juga dapat meningkatkan minat serta meransang minda pelajar di zaman siber ini dan ia telah dianggap dan diperakui sebagai pemangkin proses P&P.Ia juga dapat memotivasikan pelajar-pelajar supaya berfikir secara kreatif. Dari segi pengajaran,penggunaan teknologi maklumat memerlukan perancangan yang cekap dan efisien supaya pembelajaran dapat dimaksimumkan kepada setiap orang pelajar.
Pensyarah bukan sahaja pengajar,pendidik dan pembimbing malah telah berkembang ke tahap pengsosialisasian, penggalakkan,pengilhaman, penyaluran nilai, penyemaian rasa hormat dan apresiasi kritikal dlam diri pelajar.Bagi melaksanakan tugas yang mencabar ini, pensyarah perlu bijak dan kreatif mendidik dan merancang pelbagai strategi, kaedah dan pendekatan terutamanya dalam melaksanakan amanah yang dipertanggungjawabkan kepadanya pada sesuatu masa dengan jayanya.Ini memberi cabaran kepada pensyarah bagi menguasai seberapa banyak ilmu dan kemahiran yang diperlukan seiring dengan keperluan semasa supaya pengalaman yang sedia ada dapat ditingkat, dikemaskini dan diguna mengikut kesesuaian pelajar dan persekitaran masa kini.
